How to Download One-Time Use Amazon Promo Codes

Estimated reading: 3 minutes

If you’re running single-use Amazon discount codes, controlling distribution is critical. Whether you’re managing a VIP launch, influencer outreach, or building urgency through exclusivity, knowing how to access and manage those codes is part of the process.

This guide walks you through how to download your one-time use promo codes directly from Seller Central. These codes are pre-configured for single use and offer you an additional layer of control over discounting strategies.

Let’s get into it.

Access Your Promo Codes in Seller Central

  1. Log into Seller Central
Start by logging into your Amazon Seller Central account. Use your primary credentials to ensure you have full access to promotions and claim code management.

  2. Navigate to Promotions
In the top navigation bar, hover over Advertising, then select Promotions from the dropdown menu.
This takes you to the central hub for all promotions related to your products.

  3. Select ‘Manage Promotions’
From the header tab, click on Manage Promotions.
Here, you’ll see a complete list of all active, scheduled, or completed promotions you’ve set up.

Generate and Download Claim Codes

  1. Locate the Promotion
Find the specific promotion associated with the one-time codes you want to download. Click View on that promotion to open its details.

  2. Click ‘Manage Claim Codes’
Inside the View Promotion page, select Manage Claim Codes.
This is where you’ll create the unique code set for distribution.

  3. Create a Code Set

    • Enter a name for your code group. Make it descriptive if you’re managing multiple campaigns.
    • Specify the quantity of codes you need. This can range from a few dozen to several thousand, depending on your campaign scope.
  4. Initiate Code Generation
Once you’ve entered your parameters, click Create.
Amazon will generate the requested number of codes. The status will show In Progress, typically for 15-20 minutes. During this time, codes are securely generated and processed.

Download the Codes

  1. Refresh and Confirm Completion
After 15-20 minutes, refresh the page.
Once the generation process is complete, you’ll see a Download option next to your code set.

  2. Download Your Code File
Click Download to export the file to your local system.
The file typically comes in a text or CSV format, containing your one-time use codes ready for controlled distribution.

What to Keep in Mind

  • One-Time Use: Each code can only be redeemed once. If you need additional codes, repeat the generation process.
  • Distribution Strategy: Control how and where you release codes. Whether via email campaigns, influencer collaborations, or customer loyalty programs, ensure your distribution matches the exclusivity of your offer.
  • Monitor Redemptions: Use Seller Central reporting to track code usage and ensure campaign integrity.

Next Step: Planning Your Promotions
