They\u00a0help you rank for keywords that cannot go into your product listing page. Identifying the right set of backend terms for your Amazon product is not a huge task but can be a little tricky sometimes.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sellerapp.com\/help\/article\/keyword-research\/\">Keyword Research<\/a> enter your product category. Find keywords that can go into your backend search terms.<\/li>\r\n<li>Go to My products &gt; Tracked Products &gt; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sellerapp.com\/help\/article\/product-keyword-overview\/\">Product Keywords<\/a>. Identify keywords that are most relevant to your product but not yet used in your product listing, add them to your backend.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"best-practices-for-providing-backend-search-terms\">Best practices for providing backend search terms<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Don&#8217;t include product identifiers such as brand names, product names, compatible product names, ASINs, UPC codes, etc.<\/li>\r\n<li>Don&#8217;t provide inaccurate, misleading, or irrelevant information such as the wrong product category, the wrong gender, out-of-context words, etc.<\/li>\r\n<li>Don&#8217;t provide redundant information that is already captured in other fields such as title, author, product description, bullet points, brand, etc. It won&#8217;t improve your product placement in search results.<\/li>\r\n<li>When entering several words as a search term, put them in the most logical order. A customer is more likely to search for big stuffed teddy bears than for teddy stuffed bears.<\/li>\r\n<li>Use a single space to separate keywords. No commas, semicolons, carets are required.<\/li>\r\n<li>Don&#8217;t include statements that are only temporarily true, e.g., &#8220;new,&#8221; &#8220;on sale,&#8221;, etc.<\/li>\r\n<li>Don&#8217;t provide variants of spacing, punctuation, capitalization, and pluralization (&#8220;80GB&#8221; and &#8220;80 GB,&#8221; &#8220;computer&#8221; and &#8220;computers,&#8221; etc.).
